i couldn't shake the feeling that i needed to do something about sable's faceup. the makeup was too heavy and blushed for my liking and although it was done well, i felt like i should redo it.
this is what it looked like and as you can see, her headcap at the top is a completely different shade than her actual makeup.
so, i scrubbed everything off and started from scratch. i tried an underpainting technique I'd seen other faceup artists do and i found that it did add dimension to her otherwise flat sculpt.
it is indeed lighter than her original one but i felt that same sadness when i reassembled her.
i don't know. maybe she'll grow on me over time
